We are all humans.txt on lyokolux.space

Unlike large websites, small websites can have standards shared between them. One such standard is the humans.txt file: a text file describing the the humans running the website.

It’s an initiative for knowing the people behind a website. It’s a TXT file that contains information about the different people who have contributed to building the website. ‒ humanstxt.org

I created a humans.txt some month ago. It’s simple, easy and everyone can read the file. it takes no time. it’s a human touch on the site! Each page can reference it with a HTML tag such as <link type="text/plain" rel="author" href="./humans.txt">.

It is “just a way” to have more information about the authors of the site”. Simple, easy, cool and human. We miss that sometime in IT.

Note to myself: adding dates to the humans.txt can be relevant for future readers. These dates can provide multiple information like the creation time, the last change or what is valid or expired.

You can find more about the initiative on humanstxt.org. Datagubbe published a funny a.txt file . A french article on Wikipedia also exists, but one is missing in english… Okay, it is added to the todo list :)

I can not access the official website at the moment, but the internet archive has a copy of it.
